LILBOURN -- Louis "L.J." Johnson, 62, died May 18, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born March 7, 1931, in Mississippi, son of the late Chillis and Caroline Johnson, he was an associate minister at the New Life, New Beginning World Outreach Center.
His wife and one son preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Phillip Johnson of Sikeston and Elgin Johnson of Cape Girardeau; seven daughters, Dorothy Pampkins of St. Louis, Minner Conners of Farmington, Norma Moore of New Madrid, Callina Robinson of Chicago, Ill., Gwendolyn Johnson of Lilbourn, Sonja Johnson of Parma and Francis Johnson of Essex; one sister, Minnie Williams of Howardville; and 30 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from noon Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at New Life, New Beginnings World Outreach Center in Lilbourn. Elder Nathaniel Green will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
Williams-Farr Purnell Funeral Home of Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
