SIKESTON - Dwight Thomas, 72, of Sikeston died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born March 28, 1932, at Arbyrd, son of Emmett and Minnie Thomas. Thomas served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Sikeston. He leaves three children from a previous marriage, Farley Thomas of Palm Springs, Calif., Clay Thomas of Cape Girardeau, Lisa Clement of St. Charles, Mo. He had three grandchildren, Rebecca Thomas of Glendale, Ariz., Cole and Tara Clement of St. Charles, and a brother R.J. Thomas and his wife, Nadine, of Senath, Mo.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Thomas was a Missouri State trooper seven years. He graduated from Arkansas State University and later received a master's degree in criminal justice from Nova University. He served 20 years with the ATF U.S. Treasury Department. After retirement he started his own business, Intercon Investigative Service.

The funeral was held at noon Sept. 12 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Arbyrd.
