SIKESTON - The Sikeston seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams split with New Madrid County Central on Tuesday at the Sikeston Middle School.

The eighth graders won 25-11, 25-15.

In serving, Ariel Reynolds was 7-7 with three aces. Others were Keyarra Blissett (9-10, 7 aces), Andrea Coleman (5-6), DeLana Henry (1 ace) and Janesha Tate (1 ace).

Alex Fowler had four kills while Blissett had two kills and Tate had one.

"I was pleased with the way they played tonight," said Sikeston coach Steve Beydler. "They played good three-high volleyball. That's what we've been preaching."

The seventh grade team lost 16-25, 19-25.

In serving, Amanda Odum was 8-9 with four aces while Tyanne Townsend was 4-5 with one ace.

"They fell behind but they stayed with it and I was pleased to see they didn't give up," said Beydler.
