CAPE GIRARDEAU - Jennings Bryan Haynes, 104, died Sept. 29, 2004, at the Life Care Center.

Born Oct. 3, 1899, in New Madrid County, son of the late Charles and Louisa Keene Haynes, he had farmed and worked in the construction industry.

On Feb. 16, 1931, he married Lillie Moss who preceded him in death.

Survivors include: one stepdaughter, Frances Brown of Sikeston; three stepgrandchildren, Dewayne Brown of Scott City, Gary Brown of Lincoln, Ala., and Brenda Davis of Benton; and nieces and nephews.

One brother and four sisters also preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday.

Burial will follow in the Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City.
