CAPE GIRARDEAU - Barbara Rebecca "Bobbi" Barnett, 68, died at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 4, 2005, at her home in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 12, 1937, in Kennett to the late Rella Alice White and William Howard Linam Sr., she was a retired riverboat cook and had worked for Luhr Brothers of Cape Girardeau. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Morley VFW Post 5368 and the native American tribe Ah-Ni-Yu-Wi-Ya.
Survivors include: one son, Floyd Patterson of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Deborah Egan of St. Louis, Sarah Webb of McClure, Ill., and Sue Greenwood of Denton, Texas; one brother, Bill Linam of Sikeston; two sisters, Joan Bell of Cape Girardeau and Nancy Reed of Webster Groves; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a special friend of 27 years, Leon Barnett of Cape Girardeau.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran where funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday. Chief Paul White Eagle will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
Pallbearers will be Bill Linam, David Linam, Floyd Patterson, Don Hagy, Pete Esham, Doug Esham, Mike Wheeler, Derek Wheeler and Merlin Hagy.
