Bost - Polk

MATTHEWS -- James and Barbara Bost have announced the engagement of their daughter, Dora Jill, to Lucas E. Polk, son of Eddie Polk and Darlene Bewley Polk of Matthews.

A 2003 graduate of New Madrid County Central High School, the future bride expects to graduate in June from the Sikeston Licensed Practical Nurse Program. She is the granddaughter of Wilford and Glida Gean of Avert and Ferrell and Geneva Bost of Salcedo.

The prospective bridegroom graduated in 2001 from New Madrid County Central High School and his grandparents are Evelyn Polk and Shirley Bewley of Matthews and the late Herbert Bewley. He works as a foreman for Wesco Trailers and is a member of the Matthews Volunteer Fire Department.

Plans are under way for a May 21 wedding at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Matthews.
