ST. LOUIS -- Donald Leo Plaskie, 67, died May 17, 2005, at Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis.
Born July 4, 1937, at Bristol, Va., to the late John H. and Florence Willis Plaskie, he served in the U.S. Marines from Sept. 15, 1955, to June 28, 1956. A member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in St. Louis, he had been a service station attendant in St. Louis after working for the C&O Railroad in Ohio.
His wife, Betty Hunt Plaskie, survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Crystal Nall and Florence Carmona of Sikeston; six sons, John Plaskie of Jackson, Tim Plaskie, Mike Plaskie, Donnie Plaskie and George Plaskie of Sikeston and Chuck Plaskie of Piedmont; two sisters, Ruth Parker of North Carolina and Betty Boggs of Arnold; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
One sister preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Leibrecht officiating.
Burial will follow in the Cape County Memorial Park at Cape Girardeau.
