SIKESTON -- Edward William Pansky, 79, died May 17, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 15, 1925, in Marine, Ill., son of the late Edward and Anna Pansky, he was employed as a purchasing agent by Galaxy Cablevision for 21 years. He served in the United States Coast Guard on overseas duty during World War II receiving an honorable discharge on April 9, 1946.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bettie Cullen; they were married on May 22, 1944.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Carol Gleason of Sikeston and Barbara Wheeler of Tierra Verde, Fla.; four grandchildren, Suzi Gleason Baros of El Campo, Texas, Aaron Gleason of Chesterfield, Brenna Muldoon of St. Louis and Bradley Kern of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and five great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Justin Baros of El Campo, Colleen and Timothy Muldoon of St. Louis and Carter Gleason of Chesterfield.
His son, Edward Allan Pansky, preceded him in death in 1972.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Church in Sikeston. The Monsignor Stephen A. Schneider, pastor, will officiate.
