MORLEY - Lola Mae Holland, 87, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at 11:05 a.m. at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 6, 1918, at Warm Springs, Ark., the daughter of T.N. and Lydia Davidson Hagar.
She married Dude Holland on May 30, 1936, at Flatwoods, Mo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1962.
Mrs. Holland ran the Morley Cafe for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the Morley Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Holland of Beebe, Ark., and Dennis Holland of Benton; three brothers, Raymond Hagar of Fresno, Calif., Dewey Hagar of Edwards, Miss., and Roy Hagar of Petaluma, Calif.; one sister, Ethel Dalton of Doniphan; three grandchildren, Denae Holland Ledure, and Joby and Derek Holland; and five great-grandchildren, Coby, Jayme and Emily Holland and Wyatt and Will Ledure.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Hagar; two sisters, Ann Hagar and Gene Holland; and two grandchildren, Kirk and Keith Holland.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton and at the Morley Baptist Church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until time for services at 11 a.m. The Rev. Delbert Bishop will officiate.
Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
