BENTON - Two Kansas City men are in custody in the Scott County Jail for drug and drug trafficking charges.
Calvin Robinson and Alvin Curry were arrested after a vehicle stop by Scott County Sheriff's Deputy Paul Dirden near the 71 mile marker on Interstate 55 at approximately 4:41 a.m. Monday.
According to Scott County Prosecutor Paul Boyd, a search that included assistance from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety K-9 unit discovered 40 grams of marijuana, over three grams of crack cocaine, about $4,000 in cash and a handgun.
They are charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute; trafficking in the second degree, a class B felony; and unlawful use of a weapon.
Each is being held on a $75,000 bond.
