MARION, Ohio - Alma Barker Rose, 93, formerly of Dexter, Mo., died April 9, 2002, at the Sunbridge Care Center in Marion.
Born March 13, 1909, at Hahn, Mo., daughter of the late Charles Henry and Mary Jane Pittman Barker, she was a charter member of the Missionary Holiness Church of Marion and had been a machine operator for the Fulfillment Corporation of Marion.
Her first husband, Clyde M. Sitton, preceded her in death on March 14, 1932. On July 22, 1933, at Dexter, she married Olivene Rose who died July 31, 1977.
Survivors include: one son, Donald Rose of Marion; three daughters, Doris Caudle of Dexter, Francis Pinney of Marion and Linda Magill of Delaware, Ohio; three brothers, Marion Barker of Warren, Mich., Clarence Barker of Farmington, Mo., and Warren Barker of Houston, Texas; one sister, Hazel Kibler of Berkley, Mich.; and 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Elvin Dean Rose; three brothers, Homer Barker, Elmer Barker and Everett Barker; three sisters, Agnes Hazlip, Grace Williams and Ethel Wilson; and one granddaughter, Cheryl Caudle Daniel.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at 11 a.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Vyron Yount will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
