MARION, Ill. -- Daisy Mae Glodjo, 88, formerly of Anniston, Mo., died at 9:50 p.m. March 9, 2005, at her home.
Born Feb. 7, 1917, in Lexington, Tenn., daughter of the late George and Mollie Swafford Miller, she had lived in Anniston most of her life before moving to Marion in 2001. She was of the Baptist belief.
On Feb. 14, 1940, she married Elbert "Cotton" Glodjo who preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2000.
One son, Billy Eugene Glodjo; one daughter, Peggy Jane Glodjo; one grandson, Mark Glodjo; and one brother and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, James "Pete" and Donna Glodjo of Marion; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lona "Sue" and Andy Chutsch of Edwardsburg, Mich., Jewell and Don Farrow of Columbia, Mo., and Dotty and Steve Ward of Anniston; one daughter-in-law, Doris Glodjo of Bowling Green, Ky.; one sister, Dolly Lifsey of McLemorescille, Tenn.; and 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Keith Huffman, interim pastor of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in East Prairie, Mo.
Pallbearers will be: Adam Glodjo, Brad Glodjo, Darrin Glodjo, Rob Stagner, Kevin Presson, Randy Presson, Todd Presson and Toby Presson.
