NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Juil W. Conner, 80, formerly of Dexter, Mo., died April 5, 2002, at the I.H.S. Nursing Home.

Born May 5, 1921, at Dexter, son of the late Calvin and Charlotte Tetetion Conner, he was retired from the U.S. Army.

On Nov. 6, 1941, in Paragould, Ark., he married Nelma Ruth Conner who preceded him in death on Nov. 19, 1973.

In 1975, in Nashville, he married Mabel Dearing who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Edward Conner of Old Hickory, Tenn., Kenneth Conner of Dexter and Albert Conner of Atascadero, Calif.; two stepsons, Robert Milam and Thomas Milam of Nashville; two stepdaughters, Suzette Hunter and Mary Kirby of Nashville; one brother, Willis Conner of Dexter; and nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Clifford Wray officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter.
