CINCINNATI - Phyllis Layton Perry, 68, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died March 8, 2005, at Hospice of Cincinnati.
Born Aug. 29, 1936, in Hannibal, Mo., daughter of the late Lyle Denton and Fern Hedges Henderson, she was the retired executive director for the International Visitors Center in Cincinnati. She has been the recipient of many awards including the 2004 Cincinnati Enquirer Woman of the Year.
Her husband, John R. Perry, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jeff Smith of Batavia, Ill., and Jennifer and Mike Timpe of Mililani, Hawaii; one son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Kim Perry of Irving, Texas; one brother, Terry Henderson of Humble, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church in Cincinnati with the Revs. Mark Rowland and Herman Emmert officiating.
A graveside service is set for noon Monday at Grandview Memorial Park in Hannibal.
Mark and Heller Funeral Homes in Dayton is in charge of arrangements.
