SIKESTON -- The Scott County Sheriff's Department 6th Annual Crime Prevention Fund golf tournament took place last Friday at the Bootheel Golf Course in Sikeston.
The team of Rob Mitchell, Deke Lape, Galen Druger and Keith Davidson won the championship flight of the 4-person scramble with a score of 57.
Britt McConnell, Brian Cox, Greg Leuhmann and Nate Burnett came in second with 58 points. The team of Derek Wheeler, Mike Wheeler, Leon Eftink and Bill White took third with a score of 60.
In the A flight, Troy Wilson, Loy Welker, Tim Kelley and Richard Montgomery took first with a 64. Second place went to C.W. Hart, Joe Fritz, Dennis Mooneyhan, and Jim McClure. Third place went to Scott and Karen Matthews and Gary and Kathy Turner.
In the B flight, a team of Bob and Semona Penrod, Bobby Sullivan and Gina Wunderlick took first at 67. Second went to Randy Guest, Tom Guest, Jim Talley and Howard Abner. Third place went to the team of Sheriff Bill Ferrell, Buzz Ferrell, Pat Taylor and Judy Hobbs.
In the C flight, Jeff Sutton, Jack Garland, Gary Noisworth and Leon Cox took first with a score of 70. Second place went to Ron Borders, Richard Pyland, Sam Flagg and Ron Watkins. In third place was the team of Jeff Wuebker, Dave Selvig, Kevin Winter and Bill Brant. Closest to the pin winners were Steve Leible (2), Art Owens (5) and Rob Mitchell (17). Nate Burnett won the longest drive competition.
