SIKESTON - In a listless game that again proved the Sikeston High School Bulldogs have sharp superiority over Chaffee's basketball team, coach Lou Bona's charge were victorious by the score of 41-33 Tuesday at the gymnasium.

SIKESTON - Jack Conyers, Cub Scout roundtable commissioner for Okeechobee District, received the annual Top Commissioner Award for 1964 from Bill Scarborough, district commissioner, at the monthly Commissioner Staff meeting at the First Christian Church, Sikeston, Thursday evening.

WASHINGTON - Calling new IRS record-keeping requirements a "cure that is worse than the disease," 8th District Congressman Bill Emerson has cosponsored legislation to erase new regulations requiring taxpayers to keep extremely detailed records of business use of property in order to claim deductions on their federal income taxes.

VANDUSER - The filing deadline for the three positions on the Board of Trustees for the Village of Vanduser been set for 5 p.m. Jan. 31. The three positions are for two-year terms and will be filled in the April 4 election. The Vanduser City Hall is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Portageville varsity boys basketball coach saw his team struggle with Delta C-7 Monday night before the Bulldog edged out a 49-47 victory. The win ups Portageville's record to 10-4 overall.
