MALDEN - Julia Mae Thornton, 92, died Feb. 13, 2005, at her daughter's home in Malden.

Born March 7, 1912, in Arkansas, daughter of the late Clarence and Lula Smith Williams, she was a member of Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Malden.

Her husband, McKinley Thornton, preceded her in death on June 7, 1990.

Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Joseph Harris of Elkhart, Ind., and Mary and Robert Underwood of Malden; six sons and daughters-in-law, Aaron Bob and Dorothy Ayers of Poplar Bluff, Clarence and Mary Ayers, Calvin and Elaine Thornton and Bobby and Norma Thornton of Malden, Perry and Maggie Thornton of Essex and Jessie and Dorothy Thornton of Sikeston; and 56 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren, 45 great-great-grandchildren and eight great-great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Malden Community Center where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday. Elder James Fair will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden.
