SIKESTON - Lee Bowman of Sikeston, a district representative with Modern Woodmen of America, was named Agent of the Month in the Missouri East Agency for January. Also he was honored as membership leader in Missouri East Agency for the month of January.

Bowman joined Modern Woodmen's Rainwater Agency, located in Farmington, in November 2003.

SIKESTON - Jon Branstetter, CPA, has joined the Missouri Delta Medical Center as vice president of financial services.

A 1997 graduate of the University of Missouri- Columbia with a bachelor of science degree in accounting, Branstetter was an employee of BKD Health Care Group for seven years providing accounting, auditing and reporting services to hospitals, nursing homes and home health agencies. Also he served as senior accountant on the Missouri Delta Medical Center's audit for the past six years.

Branstetter is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Illinois Health Care Association. He is originally from St. Louis and now resides in Sikeston.

NEW MADRID - The New Madrid Chamber of Commerce annual Awards Banquet will be Feb. 26. The banquet will begin at 6 p.m. at the Southern Comfort Reception Hall, 600 Main St. The meal will be catered by Rosie's.

The evening will include awards, a 50/50 raffle and door prizes.

SIKESTON - Jeff Archie of the Sikeston Department of Public Works, shown left, recently received a cash award and plaque after being named Employee of the First Quarter.

Mayor Mike Marshall presented the award and said that while Archie has only about six months with the street division, he is eager to learn and has become a dependable asset.

Sikeston Department of Public Safety Officer Austin Henley received a cash award and plaque recognizing him as the Sikeston DPS Employee of the First Quarter.

Henley was nominated for his dedication to duty and his professionalism.
