WEST PLAINS - Luona Mae Buttrey, 97, formerly of East Prairie, died at 1:57 a.m. June 1, 2005, at Ozark Medical Center in West Plains.
Born Jan. 21, 1908, in Illinois, daughter of the late Levi and Hattie Manley, she lived most of her life in East Prairie before living in West Plains for the past few years.
On Nov. 19, 1923, she married James Buttrey who preceded her in death on June 4, 1988.
Also preceding her in death were two daughters, one son, several siblings, five sons-in-law and four grandchildren.
Survivors include: five daughters and two sons-
in-law, Margaret and Bill Gerhardt of Paris, Tenn., Mildred Allen and Evelyn Russell of East Prairie, Bessie Brock of Avon Park, Fla., and Cledith and J.T. Hise of West Plains; a special friend, Mary "Fritzâ€? Moore of West Plains; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday with Thomas R. Wall officiating.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery in East Prairie.
