Drury home run pushes Burger King past Kiwanis

SIKESTON -- Here are Thursday's results from Sikeston Area Youth Baseball:


House of Color 14, Legion 9

Nick Lambert did it all for House of Color, blasting an in-the-park homer and going 3-for-4 with three RBIs. He also go the win, allowing seven hits and six walks with nine strikeouts.

For the American Legion, Robert E. Lee was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Seth Baker, Dee Bizzell, Zach Friend and Tyler Ramey all pitched in the loss.

Burger King 11, Kiwanis 3

Dylan Drury had an in-the-park home run and finished the game 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Josh Pierce got the complete-game win, allowing six hits and four walks with nine strikeouts. For Kiwanis, Adam Kimball was 3-for-3 with an RBI. Charles Faulkner was charged with the loss.


Elks 12, Old Security 2

Jimmy Obermark blasted a home run in the third inning, leading the Elks to a 12-2 victory. He finished the day 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Tanner Bryant was 3-for-4 with five RBIs. Jody Jackson, Todd Garner and Joshua Williams also contributed hits. Bryant and Williams both pitched in the win, allowing six hits and three walks with seven strikeouts. For Old Security, Dewayne Harris led the charge batting 2-for-2. Andrew Stewart, Eli Birdwell, Caleb Hodgekiss and Jorome Murphy also had hits. Hodgekiss and Hatcher both pitched in the loss.

Steward Steel 8, Fabrite 3

Cody Rice and Josh Carlyle were both 3-for-4, leading Steward Steel to victory. Nick DeLarosa was 2-for-4. Carlyle and Rice both pitched, allowing 12 hits and nine walks with 13 strikeouts. For Fabrite, Andrew McDowell was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Jayme Milam and Jarod O'Guinn had two hits each. McDowell and Mike Kindle both pitched in the loss.


First Midwest 11, Dairy Queen 6

First Midwest saw two hits each from Clay Driskill, Trent McMillian, Bradley Burks, Garrett Self, Blake Hoskins, Josh Glaus, Aleah Little, Ryan Norton and Levi Henson. Dairy Queen saw two hits each from Hunter Williams, Michael Gipson, Jake Stinnett and Spencer Clark.

731 Realty 6, D&S 4

731 saw two hits each from Luke Keefer, Zach Neal and Cory Taylor. D&S Salvage saw three hits from Zachary Shaw. Dustin Chaney, Alex Elsey, Trenton Gross, Josh Alsup and Kaiden Lambert each had two hits.

Sikeston Motors 7, Ponder 2

Sikeston Motors saw three hits each from Blake Angle, Sam Lincoln, Ian Householder and Kyler Reeves. Chris Kennard and Vashawn Ruffin had two hits each. For Ponder Funeral Home, Andrew Hicks and Ian Weeks had two hits each. Other hits came from Cord Sheehey, Drew Harper and Ben Walker.


Morlan 7, Discount Rentals 3

Morlan saw two hits each from Adam Kennard, Gaven Maddox, Doug Still Jr., Zach Harrison, and Austin Fowler. Discount Rentals saw two hits each from Chase Baran, Chase Davis, and Dillian M.

Jim Wilson 7, Rotary 2

Jim Wilson saw three hits each from Caleb Hampton, Derrick Garner and Colton Black. Austin Erwin had two hits. Rotary saw two hits each from Austin Downan, Chris Smith and Tyler Kolwyck.
