CHAFFEE -- Mabel Belle Thompson, 100, died at 2:10 a.m. Dec. 11, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 29, 1902, at Leachville, Ark., daughter of the late John Lumpkins, she was a cook and waitress at Mable's Cafe and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee.
In 1923, she married Robert A. Andrews Sr. who died in 1978. She and Raymond Gill were married in 1929 and he preceded her in death in 1961. In 1962, she married William T. Thompson and he died on March 16, 1999.
Survivors include: one son, Robert A. Andrews of Jonesboro, Ill.; one stepson, James E. Gill of St. Peters; two brothers, John Lumpkins of Cahokia, Ill., and Jack Lumpkins of St. Louis; and three grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Friday until service time at 1 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Watis Harrell will officiate.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
