Mary Jackson

SIKESTON - Mary Jackson, 82, died Dec. 11, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.

Born May 8, 1920, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Phillip and Caroline Strack, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston. She had worked as a waitress for Lambert's Cafe and the El Capri Motel before retiring.

On June 1, 1940, she married Z.T. Jackson who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Ed Jackson of Holts Summit; one daughter, Sharon Statler of Millington, Tenn.; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. David Jackson, assistant pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
