NEW MADRID - Kyle Wayne Jones, 16, died Oct. 22, 2002, at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born May 22, 1986, in Sikeston, son of Eddie and Christy Householder Jones of New Madrid, he was a junior at New Madrid County Central High School and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a huge Braves fan and loved to play baseball.
Also surviving are one sister, Kelly Jones of the home; and his grandparents, Patti Powell and James Householder of Cape Girardeau and Beatrice "Granny" Jones of Kewanee; and a special friend, Dr. Kimberly Kasow of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Roscoe Jones.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today in the New Madrid County Central High School auditorium.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Monsignor Mike Swalina officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Barry Bennett, Jonathan Cribbs, Steven Hall, Blake Jordan, Trevor Miller, Josh Smith and Chris White.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the NMCC Junior Class.
Richards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
