George Kaiser

FLINT, Mich. -- George T. Kaiser, 65, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 10:50 a.m. April 21, 2005, at Genesys Health Park in Grand Blanc Township.

Born Aug. 12, 1939, in Sikeston, to the late Harvey and Lou Ethel Hyatt Kaiser, he had worked for General Motors Company for 33 years. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a member and past master of the Fellowship Lodge 490 FM &AM. He was a member of the Elk Khurafeh Shriners and a member and past governor of Kishma Grotto. He was also a member of UAW Local 649 and owned and operated G & G Enterprises.

On June 24, 1960, in New Jersey, he married Gayle M. Findley who preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 1999.

One daughter, Annette Herrick; and two sisters, Lillie Huffman and Ruth Huffman, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include: one daughter and two sons-in-law, Lorie and Kurt Marks of Grand Blanc and Dale Herrick of Flint; two brothers, Enoch H. Kaiser Jr. of Murray, Ky., and Marion C. Kaiser of Byron; four sisters, Myra Creamer of Festus, Mo., Evelyn Ronkoski of Miner, Mo., Lue Ethel Howell of Sikeston and Sybil Lasater of Murray; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
