CAPE GIRARDEAU - It was a year which began with very high expectations. Sikeston was picked to be one of the best teams in the area and the Bulldogs lived up to that billing - briefly. Down the stretch when a team hopes to be in championship form, Sikeston was anything but that, losing its last three games. The Bulldogs were knocked out of the Class 4A District 1 Tournament Thursday, falling to Poplar Bluff 82-77 in overtime.

SIKESTON - Imaginary Theatre will be in residency in Sikeston March 9-16 as part of its annual winter tour to reach out to elementary school students. Imaginary Theatre is a branch of the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, providing special performances for youngsters. The upcoming production of "Rikki Tikki Tavi."
