ORAN -- Frances E. Harris, 83, died at 12:20 a.m. May 16, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 19, 1921, in Donelson, Tenn., daughter of the late John Minor Anderson and Nellie Ann Smith, she was a retired home economics teacher, having taught at Matthews, Oran and Kelly schools. A graduate of Berry College in Berry, Ga., she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oran.
On May 6, 1949, she married D.B. Harris who survives of Oran.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Karen Reecht of Crystal City, Ruth Harris-Flores of El Paso, Texas, and Barbara Infante of Knoxville, Tenn.; one son, Jim Harris of Columbia; and six grandchildren.
One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. John Thomas will officiate assisted by the Rev. Ed Carter.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
Pallbearers will be: John Reecht, Matt Harris, Mike Infante, Jake Harris, Elizabeth Reecht and Sarah Infante.
