SIKESTON - David Andrew and Jamie Susie Norton are the parents of their first child, a daughter, born at 5:05 a.m. June 5, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Lindsey Marie Norton weighed 5 pounds, 2 ounces and was 17 1/2-inches long.

The former Jamie Laymon, Mrs. Norton is the daughter of Mary and Ernie Laymon of Morehouse.

Norton is the son of Dan and Linda Norton of Sikeston.

SIKESTON - Donna Applewhite is the mother of her second daughter, born June 6, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center, Jamya Breauna LaShay Simpson weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20-inches long.

The baby's grandparent is Dionne Applewhite.

SIKESTON - Mark Anthony and Melissa Joy Moore are the parents of their first child, a son, born at 10:29 p.m. June 7, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Garrett Zackary Ray Moore weighed 7 pounds 11 1/2 ounces and was 20-inches long.

Mrs. Moore is the former Melissa Mikels, daughter of Stan and Linda Mikels of Sikeston. She is a sales clerk for the Dress Barn.

Moore, son of Kenneth and Lou Moore of East Prairie, is a machine operator for Alan Wire.

CAPE GIRARDEAU - William Clay and Lisa Luann Riley are the parents of their first child, a daughter, born at 5:25 a.m. June 8, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. Logan Jodi Riley weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces and was 18-inches long.

Mrs. Riley is the former Lisa Dunn, daughter of Carol Dunn of New Madrid and Grancy Davis of Marion, Ill. She is a surgical technologist for the Silver Springs Surgery Center.

Riley, son of Joyce Riley of New Madrid and the late Chester Riley, is a log editor for KBSI-TV.
