SCOTT CITY - John David Mayabb, 48, died at 8:12 p.m. July 10, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Oct. 29, 1953, in Carbondale, Ill., son of the late Clifford Lewis and Edna Virginia Keppner Mayabb, he was a carpenter with Laborers Union Local 773 in Cairo, Ill. He was a member of the Lutesville General Baptist Church.
On March 20, 1993, in Glen Allen, he married Amy Mae Marie Gipson who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two stepchildren; five brothers, Kenneth Sumner of Scott City, Ronald Sumner of Memphis, Tenn., Jerry Mayabb of St. Louis and Clifford Mayabb and Michael Mayabb of Cape Girardeau; and four sisters, Marilyn Schildt of Scott City, Peggy Kelley of Killeen, Texas, Judy Sharp of Joppa, Ill., and Linda Fisher of Jackson.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating.
Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
