Blanche Johnson

EAST PRAIRIE - Blanche Irene Johnson, 84, died at 10:40 a.m. Nov. 18, 2002, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born July 6, 1918, at Vulcan, daughter of the late James and Lydia Eldrige Stevenson, she lived near East Prairie most of her life and was a member of the First Christian Church in East Prairie.

On Oct. 5, 1935, she married Burnett J. Johnson who preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1986.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Louis B. and Ella M. Johnson of Festus; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Walter Mack McCormack of East Prairie; one sister, Rubye Hoener of Florissant; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Rex Miller Spangberg of East Prairie.

Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Martin Lucas and Fred Girdwood will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
