SIKESTON - The Rev. J.W. Hoffert, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, announced a list of persons who contributed a total of more than $1,000 to a church fund permitting the purchase of a parsonage at 720 Taylor St.

SIKESTON - McMullin 4-H Club met Nov. 5 and observed a candle lighting ceremony to install new officers for the 1963 club year. Those installed were: John Robert Lee, president; Gary Kindred, vice president; Linda Byrd, song leader; and Joe Schuchart, recreation leader.

ORAN - The Oran class of 1957 recently held a class reunion at Robert's Banquet Hall in Benton. SIKESTON - Sikeston Public Schools begin activities for "American Education Week" on Monday. This year's theme is "America's schools: Take a New Look." Activities at Southeast Elementary School will include inviting different readers to the facility to read to the students.


SIKESTON - John Masterson was recently named the winner of a VCR given away during Sikeston Motor Company's 3-day Sale-A-Thon.
