Randel McCarter

PORTAGEVILLE - Randel Ottis McCarter, 75, died Dec. 18, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 22, 1929, in Mississippi, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben McCarter.

His wife, Bonnie McCarter, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, David McCarter of Caruthersville and Donnie McCarter of Portageville; two daughters, Marie Cook of Portageville and Diane Sartin of Dexter; one brother, Joe "Bud" McCarter of Indiana; four sisters, Amy McCarter, Louise McCarter and Earline McCarter of Texas and Geneva McCarter of Indiana; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles McCarter and R.C. McCarter; and one sister, Geraldine McCarter.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. Tuesday until service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Doug McDonald will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donald Cook and Scott Gribble.
