Speakout 7-10

I'm calling about the Speakout that said vote yes for the taxes and would suggest that the person who wants to vote yes save the money and get their head examined. We already pay 33 percent on the dollar on taxes and for anyone who would want to vote yes on taxes these days must be a form of insanity.

I live in the 300 block of East Gladys and I just want to thank the mail carrier that comes through here and the paper carrier too so much for being so nice to me. I want them to know I appreciate them an awful lot.

I'm calling to see if anyone might know where I can find a string of lights that are like grapes and oranges and like that. If you know where I can find them put it in Speakout to let me know.

Two or three weeks ago when the Standard Democrat on your weekly joke of the week column in the center section of your paper. You had a joke, multiple choice questions, citing the different things that Muslim terrorists have done to the United States over the years. In each case, the answer was answer D: Muslim men between the ages of 17 and 40. I wanted to save that but I threw that copy away before I could cut it out. Is there anyway you could reprint that or I could get another copy of that. I would really like to see it again.

Glad you liked it. That ran in the June 9 edition. Extra copies of the paper are still available at the Standard Democrat business office.

I see Al Gore is shooting off his mouth again. Now it is at President Bush. He is blaming Bush because he hasn't caught Osama Bin Laden. If he is so damn good at it why doesn't he send Gore over there and let him catch him. After all, if he is so brave he ought to be able to do it. That man is nuts. I think Bush is really one great guy. After all, look what he went through and two hours later he was right back on the job. He just turned it over to Cheney for the two hours he was unconscious.

I noticed the list of doctors at Ferguson Medical Group in Sunday's paper. A lot of the doctors are gone from out there. There are no surgeons listed or OB-GYN doctors. I would like to know what happened to all of these. I know Dr. Poole is in Medical Park. Dr. Rankin is suppose to leave; what about the rest of them? Where did they go? What happen to Carter?

As noted in the recent article and in recent advertisements in the Standard Democrat, Kevin Rankin, thoracic/vascular surgery, is not leaving and is now an employee of Missouri Delta Medical Center. Dr. Stephen Carney (we think this is the physician you meant), family practice, moved back to Van Buren, Arkansas; and Dr. Dewayne Hansen, general surgery, returned to Rexburg, Idaho.

I was wondering if someone in the vicinity sold Watkins? If so would you please put your telephone number in Speakout?
