LEWISVILLE, Texas - Geraldine "Jane" Brock Milam, 64, died December 16, 2004, in Lewisville after fighting a long battle with multiple myeloma.
Born Aug. 9, 1940, in Benton, Mo., daughter of Geraldine LeGrand Brock of Plano and the late Glenn Albert Brock, she moved to Texas in 1957 where she graduated from Our Lady of Good Council in 1958. She worked as a commercial line supervisor for Maxson-Mahoney-Turner Insurance, where she was employed for 35 years.
On Oct. 15, 1982, in Dallas, she married Gary L. Milam.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn Brock and Larry Tegtmeyer of Wichita Falls; two stepsons, Lance Lee Milam and Cam Lynn Milam of Morley, Mo.; three sisters, Glenda Ruth Milam of Benton, Mo., Mary Hassenflug of Grand Prairie and Carla Salik of Lancaster; two brothers, LaRue Douglas of Pasadena and Thomas Douglas of Plano; four grandchildren, Megan Tegtmeyer, Cammie Milam, Andrew Tegtmeyer and Matthew Tegtmeyer; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Don and Gail Cockrell and Belle and David Powers; and her faithful dog "Rusty."
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
Burial followed in the Old Hall Cemetery.
Jane was dearly loved by many friends and family. She had a very special relationship with her daughter and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Jane was more a giver than a receiver and she will be deeply missed.
