Lions win National League title

SIKESTON -- Here are Friday's results from Sikeston Area Youth Baseball:

Lions 8, American Legion 5

Timmy Bell was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, leading the Lions to the National League Tournament championship. Garrett Limbaugh was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Vince Howard was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Bell pitched the first five innings for the Lions, allowing three runs, six hits and three walks with seven strikeouts. Limbaugh threw the final two frames, giving up two runs, three hits, one walk and had two strikeouts.

For the American Legion, Robert E. Lee was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Brandon Lee Williams was 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Tyler Ramey, Seth Baker and Lee all threw in the loss.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Jimmy Obermark was 3-for-3, leading the Elks to a 15-8 win over Old Security in the American League title game. Joshua Williams pitched the first five innings, allowing eight runs, 10 hits and six walks with four strikeouts.

Obermark threw the final frame, recording two strikeouts.

For Old Security, Kaili Lambert was 2-for-4. Caleb Hodgkiss, Jorome Hatcher and Lambert all threw in the loss.

ROOKIE LEAGUE

Tyler Anderson was 3-for-3, leading 731 to a 6-3 win. Michael Burdin, Conor MacGillivray and Luke Keefer each had two hits. Tyler Schildnecht contributed one.

Ponder saw three hits from Cord Sheehy and Drew Harper. They saw two hits each from Andrew Hicks, Ben Walker and Ryan Vanover.

Zach Fisher and Beyleah James both finished with one.

First Midwest saw three hits each from Trent McMillan and Garrett Self. Aleah Little, Ryan Norton and Levi Henson each had two hits.

For Sikeston Motors saw three hits each from Allen Dirickson, Vashawn Ruffin and Gage Britton.

The squad saw two hits each from Adam Cooksey, Logan Riggins and Chris Kennard.
