Morning flooding

Above: Jeff Archie of Sikeston Public Works places a road closed sign on Greer Street Monday morning. The street was closed because of a water main rupture near the old Long John Silver building. The rupture caused the flooding of Greer Street from Main to Pine along with some side streets. Water was shut off in a two-block radius around Maple Street and workers were trying to fix the problem at press time. Second photo: A van tries to navigate the water Monday morning.
