EAST PRAIRIE - Josephine Keen, 85, died at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 2, 2005, at her home.
Born July 8, 1919, near Middleton, Tenn., daughter of the late Cullen and Rosa Fish Brown, she lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She attended the First Church of God in East Prairie.
On Sept. 23, 1939, at Osceola, Ark., she married Thurman Keen who preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1984.
One brother and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Bill Keen of East Prairie and Jerry Keen of Blodgett; five daughters, Melba Sims of Atlanta, Rosemary Spray of Halls, Tenn., Peggy Downy of Ellenton, Fla., Debbie Cox of Crossville, Tenn., and Paula Cates of East Prairie; and 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday. Larry Smith will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
