Born Sept. 19, 1926, in Conway, Ark., to the late Edward and Hattie Hendrick Bean, he was self-employed as a welder.
On Feb. 10, 1951, at Piggott, Ark., he married Dorothy Alexander, who survives.
Also surviving are: three sons, Robert David Bean and Dennis Lee Bean of Ste. Genevieve and Bryan Alan Bean of Dexter; one daughter, Vickie Champlin of Neodesha, Kan.; one brother, John Lott of Williamsville; two sisters, Martha Spain and Myrtle Bumpus of Clarkton; and 11 grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
Two brothers, William Bean and James Plunkett; two sisters, Ruby Tarkington and Addie Brown; and one granddaughter, Sandy Champlin, preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Gene Lancaster will officiate.
Burial will be in the Stanfield Cemetery.
