MOREHOUSE - Loyeal Hoskins, 65, died May 29, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 4, 1937, in Sikeston, son of the late Norman and Abbie Baremore Hoskins, he was a lifelong resident of Morehouse and retired as a diesel mechanic.

On July 19, 1953, at Parma, he married Norma Ellis who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Bill Hoskins of Oran and Roy Hoskins and Darrell Hoskins of Morehouse; five daughters, Norma Jean Knuckles of Dexter, Kathy Graham and Cheryl Jones of Sikeston and Shelia Rodgers and Daniele Sims of Morehouse; one sister, Susie Waters of Sikeston; two brothers, Harold Hoskins of Sikeston and David Hoskins of St. Louis; and 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Larry W. Hoskins on March 28, 1973; and one brother, John Hoskins.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Pentecostal Church in Morehouse. The Rev. Philip Cook of Springfield will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
