SIKESTON - Dr. T.C. McClure announced yesterday that he will be associated with Dr. W.J. Ferguson, a Sedalia physician, in a clinic located at 217 S. Kingshighway, the latter part of the summer.

SIKESTON - Potlatch Forest Inc., Dairy Service Division, Highway 60 East, is in the process of building a 43,000-square-foot addition to its plant, almost doubling its present size. The expansion is estimated to cost $306,000.

SIKESTON - Lecturer and psychologist Dr. Cleo Lawson of Lexington, Ky., will speak at the annual woman of the year banquet next Thursday at the American Legion Hall. The banquet is sponsored by the Business and Professional Womens Club.

SIKESTON - Lines of over 20 cars and trucks, sometimes blocking traffic on Virginia Street, have been a common sight at Huck's Convenience Store, 530 S. Main St., during the past few days. With prices at 49.9 cents for regular gasoline and 65.9 cents for unleaded, residents from the area flocked to the pumps, waiting up to 30 minutes for the low-cost fuel.

SIKESTON - Whether to put 10,000-gallon gas tanks in the ground or on top of it brought a familiar argument to the table at the BOCA Board of Appeals. Together, the board agreed to a request by the owners of Helmes Quick Sack and Deli to install such tanks above ground, but with conditions.

SIKESTON - Adrienne Collins, a Sikeston Senior High student, received first place in poetry and first place in oratory at the 14-team Speech and Debate Tournament.
