DEXTER - David Pyles, 63, died March 6, 2008, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 6, 1944, at Oran, to the late Chester and Christine Rogers Pyles, he was a member of the New Bethel General Baptist Church near Dexter. He was 25-year employee of the city of Dexter Water Department and a former employee of Monarch Feed Mills in Dexter, Arvin Automotive and Triangle Wire.
On June 25, 1966, at Essex, he married Shirley Dickerson, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, John Pyles of Bloomfield and Matthew Pyles of Dexter; four daughters, Cathy Bain of Scott City, Melinda Wilkison of St. Louis, and Candace Pyles and Christina Porter of Dexter; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Pyles; two sisters, Princess Fay Pyles and Dorothy Imogene Pyles; and one grandson, Rick Ryan.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Dean Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
