Thursday, November 10, 2005

NEW MADRID - A Portageville man, accused of creating obscene material using young children, is to be arraigned today on the charge.

New Madrid County Prosecuting Attorney Lewis Recker charged Edward Bruce Sitzes Sr. with sexual exploitation of a minor Tuesday.

According to court documents, Sitzes created obscene material by photographing a female minor child and a male minor child while the two were kissing and partially clothed. The incident reportedly occurred on Nov. 6.

Arraigned on the charges Monday, he entered a plea of not guilty. Shannon, who is currently being held in the New Madrid County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond, is scheduled to return to court on Nov. 21.
