Woman strikes MoDOT truck

SIKESTON - A Perryville woman received minor injuries after a construction-zone traffic accident Friday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Interstate 55 two miles south of Sikeston in the southbound lane when the vehicle driven by Marjorie Nielsen, 75, struck a parked Missouri Department of Transportation dump truck also in the southbound lane.

Timothy Williams, 41, of Sikeston, was behind the wheel of the MoDOT truck but reported no injuries.
