KEWANEE - Elizabeth Frances Hurley Brown, 76, died April 2, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 27, 1927, in Bertrand, daughter of the late Russell and Ova Nelson Hurley, she was of the Baptist belief.
On Oct. 18, 1945, in Mississippi County, she married Eugene Brown who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: five sons and two daughters-in-law, Gerald Brown of Whitewater, Jimmy and Chris Brown of East Alton, Ill., Glen Brown of Atlanta, Carl Brown of New Madrid and Charlie and Lisa Brown of Jackson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Frankie and Bobby Blom and Linda and David Porter of New Madrid and Judy and Scott Harris of Jackson; one brother, Walter Hurley of Flint, Mich.; seven sisters, Pauline Hanson of New Madrid, LaVerne Bowen of Adairsville, Ga., Ruth Griffin of Branson, Jean Deason of Nixa, Hilda Bennett of Florida, Sue Neal of Sikeston and Gail Steinhoff of St. Charles; and 37 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were one sister, Josephine Abernathy; one brother, Audrey Hurley; and one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Tom McCanless will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Jerry Adams.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
