Arnold Guzman

ORAN - Arnold Guzman, 68, died at 5:55 p.m. May 30, 2004, at his home.

Born Dec. 14, 1935, in San Antonio, son of the late Cercenio and Ysidra Garcia Guzman, he was a retired farmer for Louis Watkins Farms. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and St. Joseph Sodality in Oran.

On July 27, 1956, he married Emma Sauceda who preceded him in death on Dec. 17, 2003.

Survivors include: two sons, J. David Guzman of Los Angeles and A. Anthony Guzman of Bell City; one daughter, Linda Graviett of Bloomfield; two brothers, Moggie Guzman and Raymond Guzman of Oran; three sisters, Sarah Miller of Sikeston, DeLores Rosa of Lubbock, Texas, and Hope Fuentes of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Two sons, four brothers and seven sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where parish prayers are scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Visitation will continue from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. John Harth officiating.

Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery.
