Courtney Kennedy

PUXICO - Courtney Kennedy, 8, died April 5, 2002, in Puxico, of injuries sustained in a 4-wheeler accident.

Born Nov. 30, 1995, in Poplar Bluff, she was the daughter of Herschell and Beverly Kennedy of Puxico. A second grade student at Puxico Elementary School, where she participated in softball and gymnastics, she was a Girl Scout and competed in beauty pageants. She attended the First Christian Church.

Survivors in addition to her parents include: one brother, Bryant Kennedy of the home; one sister, Rebecca Kennedy of the home; and her grandparents, Phyllis Yebra of Puxico, Rolando Yebra and Dalayla Yebra of Homestead, Fla., and Noel Cantrell and Mary Cantrell of Sikeston.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Morgan-Sifford Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First General Baptist Church in Puxico.

Burial will follow in the Puxico Cemetery.
