SIKESTON -- Three people are in custody after being arrested after an early morning shooting.
According to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, at 1:59 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to 241 East Gladys on report of a subject with a gunshot wound.
Officers arrived on the scene and discovered Jeremy Stidham, 18, with a single gunshot wound to the posterior. The victim, who was transported to the Missouri Delta Medical Center, was able to give a description of the suspects and a vehicle. The injuries to Stidham were not life threatening.
A short time later officers located the vehicle and arrested two adults and a juvenile.
Through the course of the investigation a hand gun was recovered.
The suspects names are being withheld pending the filing of formal charges.
