CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The seMissourian boys basketball tournament will run Dec. 26-30 at the Show-Me Center in Cape Girardeau. Charleston was voted the top seed and will play No. 16 Chaffee at 9 a.m. in the first round.

Other first round games feature No. 2 Cape Central vs. No. 15 Oak Ridge at 10:30 a.m., No. 3 Scott City vs. No. 14 Oran at noon, No. 4 Jackson vs. No. 13 Leopold at 1:30 p.m., No. 5 Bell City vs. No. 12 Meadow Heights at 4:30, No. 6 Advance vs. No. 11 Woodland at 6 p.m., No. 7 Scott County vs. No. 10 Kelly at 7:30, then No. 8 Notre Dame vs. No. 9 Delta at 9 p.m.

Quarterfinal games will begin at 9 a.m. on Dec. 27, and after a break on Dec. 28, events will resume at noon Dec. 29 with semifinal games in the consolation, fifth place and first place brackets.

Finals are scheduled for 3, 4:30, 6 and 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 30.

BLOOMFIELD -- The Bloomfield Christmas Tournament will run Dec. 26-30 at Bloomfield High School. Dexter was voted the top seed and will play No. 16 Richland at 10 a.m. in the first round.

Other first round games feature No. 2 East Carter vs. No. 15 Greenville at 11:15 a.m., No. 3 Twin Rivers vs. No. 14 Puxico at 12:30 p.m., No. 4 Doniphan vs. No. 13 Bernie at 1:45 p.m., No. 5 Kennett vs. No. 12 South Pemiscot at 3:30 p.m., No. 6 Bloomfield vs. No. 11 East Prairie at 5:00 p.m., No. 7 Portageville vs. No. 10 Van Buren at 6:30, then No. 8 Hayti vs. No. 9 Malden at 8 p.m.
