EAST PRAIRIE - Raymond Harold Tinnon, 73, died at 10:30 a.m. April 9, 2004, at his home.
Born March 15, 1931, in Mississippi County, son of the late Jasper Lee and Luna Irene Morgan Tinnon, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and of the Baptist belief. He lived in Orting, Wash., for 45 years, where he owned and operated a construction company.
On Dec. 5, 1992, he married Elizabeth Taylor who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Raymond Harold Tinnon Jr. and James Aaron Tinnon of South Prairie, Wash.; one daughter, Irene Tinnon of Orting; one stepson, Dennis Allen of Wickliffe, Ky.; one sister, Wanda Grigsby of Wetumpka, Ala.; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Monday at Shelby Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. George White will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
