Freeda Winchester

ADVANCE - Freeda Jane Winchester, 101, died April 8, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 16, 1902, at Dongola, daughter of the late Henry and Anne Nelson Revelle, she was a member of the Dongola Missionary Baptist Church.

On March 28, 1919, at Marble Hill, she married Lee Wiley Winchester who preceded her in death in 1988.

Survivors include: six sons, Wilbur Winchester and Bob Winchester of Poplar Bluff, H.W. Winchester, Doyle Winchester of Advance and Jim Winchester of Advance and Jack Winchester of Maryland Heights; two daughters, Bonnie Shell of Advance and Nancy Carol Farrar of Ballwin; five foster daughters, Shirley Borgfield, Naomi Stanley and Evelyn Harris of Jackson, Audrey Huston of Fruitland and Barbara Warner of Marble Hill; and 20 grandchildren, 11 foster grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, two sisters and four grandchildren also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dongola Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Dan Overton and Ronnie Winchester officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dongola Cemetery.
