ORAN -- Henry H. Brinker Jr., 84, died April 10, 2004, at a family home in Oran.
Born Oct. 7, 1919, in Oran, son of the late Henry Herman and Mary Hartke Brinker Sr., he owned and operated Brinker Brothers Service Station in Oran and was golf cart fleet manager for Bootheel Golf Club in Sikeston. A U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Joseph Sodality and Guardian Angel Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 4311 in Oran. He was also a member of the Bootheel Golf Club, where he was the Super Senior Club Champion in 2003.
On April 25, 1951, he married Kathryn "Katie" Wilhelm who preceded him in death on Feb. 22, 2000.
Two brothers also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews.
Vitiation begins at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran with parish prayers recited at 7 p.m. followed by KC prayers at 7:15 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating.
Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.
Pallbearers ill be: George Glasscock, Ed McConnell and Larry Eftink.
